Explore the charming coastal town of Hoi An with its UNESCO World Heritage Sites before heading to vibrant Saigon to discover the best of its city sights and excellent cuisine. Be adventurous by testing your culinary skills with a half day cookery course, sourcing your ingredients from the local markets and be taught by experts. Explore Vietnam’s rich history with a tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels. Cruise the scenic Mekong Delta for an authentic slice of Vietnamese life with its shimmering rice-paddy fields, floating villages and night markets. For an exciting, adventure holiday, visit the coastal cities and cultural countryside of unforgettable Vietnam.

The Tour (11 Nights)

Day 01 – Departure

Depart from your preferred airport in UK

Day 02 – Hanoi

Upon arrival in Hanoi, your guide will meet you to transfer you to your hotel. Relax and acclimatise at your hotel

Day 03 – Hanoi

After breakfast, take a full day city tour of Hanoi visiting the Temple of Literature, Ngoc Son temple and relax lakeside for a coffee watching the world go by. Soak up the stunning architecture and the ambience of Hanoi’s Old Quarter by taking a cyclo tour.

Day 04 – Hanoi – Halong (transfer time: approx.30m)

After breakfast, travel by bus to join the L’Azalee luxury styled junk to sail away in Halong Bay, taking in the stunning scenery of this UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site famed for its dramatic limestone peaks and islands. A fresh seafood lunch is served on board. In the afternoon maybe take a swim or explore some of the limestone caves in this area by kayak. Enjoy the stunning sunset. Overnight stay on board in a deluxe cabin.

Day 05 – Hanoi – Hue (flight journey: 1h15m)

Enjoy breakfast and brunch on board as the cruise continues including a trip to Surprise Cave, the biggest in the Bay. Return to harbour at noon, transfer back to Hanoi and your flight to Hue. Upon arrival in Hue you’ll transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in your hotel.

Day 06 – Hue

After breakfast, take a tour of Vietnam’s ancient capital, a UNESCO World Heritage site with amazing architecture, Citadel, palaces and temples. A short ride away are the impressive Royal Tombs. There’s a boat-ride along the Perfume River and tour of Thien Mu Pagoda.

Day 07 – Hoi An

After breakfast, drive through the scenic Hai Van Pass along the stunning coastal road to reach charming Hoi An. Take a tour of the city’s highlights including the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge, Chua Ong Pagoda, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall and the restored Tam Ky House.

Day 08 – Hoi An

Enjoy an exciting half day culinary tour of Hoi An courtesy of Vy’s Market Restaurant. You’ll get to see the expert chefs in action, making their famous Cao Lau noodles and encouraged to try your hand at making some authentic Vietnamese dishes. Included is a tour of local food markets to source your ingredients and use of the restaurant’s facilities. Enjoy the fruits of your labour over dinner!

Day 09 – Hoi An

Relax at leisure at your hotel or maybe take time to explore more of Hoi An.

Day 10 – Hoi An - Hoi Chi Minh City (flight journey: 1h15m)

Depart via Danang for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City, still commonly known as Saigon. Explore the beautiful boulevards and famous architecture of Saigon. Discover the French-inspired streets and influences including Notre Dame Cathedral, the Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum.

Day 11 – Saigon

Discover the fascinating Cu Chi Tunnels, the infamous hideout and network of tunnels used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War. Relax at leisure in the afternoon.

Day 12 – Saigon – Mekong delta

After breakfast, depart for a leisurely river cruise along the Mekong Delta onboard the Cai Be Princess, experiencing authentic Vietnamese village life. You’ll stop at the renowned Le Longamier Restaurant for lunch, a colonial style villa, set in a lush tropical garden. Return to Saigon for the evening.

Day 13 – Saigon

Breakfast at hotel before transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
