Island Escapes – Sri Lanka Holidays Part 4
So today’s topic is all about the idyllic fishing hamlet of Passikudah which I visited as part of my Sri Lanka holidays.
Passikudah is an up and coming beach destination which is enjoying the spoils of peace and development. Everywhere you look along the Passikudah coast, you are sure to spot a 5* resort or two in development or fully operational.
As part of Sri Lanka holidays, Passikudah is the best place to simply unwind with nothing much else to do.
As far as the activities in Passikudah go, as part of Sri Lanka holidays one can rent a bike from their hotel and explore the local town which is traditionally Hindu and Muslim in its offerings. Passikudah is a fishing town so you could even hop on a boat and engage in a day of fishing in the sea or lagoon that borders this postcard perfect postcode.
From Passikudah one can also journey to the jungle of Yala in search of leopards, sambar deer, sloth bears, crocodiles and more as part of Sri Lanka holidays. Or why not visit the temples of Katharagama for a spot of devotion.
Passikudah is also serviced by the airports in Batticaloa and Trincomalee, frequent flights to these airports makes Passikudah an ideal and easily connected tourist destination as part of Sri Lanka holidays.
Passikudah although remote in its locale, boasts of some of the best 5* and boutique resorts in Sri Lanka. Passikudah is still largely unspoilt and with views to die for, Passikudah in my opinion is the best up and coming destination to visit in Sri Lanka.ENQUIRE NOW
