Barefoot Traveller is an independent tour operator
specialising in scuba diving and luxury tailor-made
holidays. We are a small and busy company based
in West london.
Candidate
We are looking for a self motivated and enthusiastic
team player to join us as a Travel Consultant. It
is essential that you have some travel sales experience
from either a tour operator or retail travel organisation.
You will need a passion and knowledge of some of
the regions and destinations we offer, preferably
having travelled many of them yourself.
In addition we are looking for a candidate who
has:
• Excellent computer literacy and CRS skills
preferably on Galileo
• Can deliver very highest standards of
customer service to ensure repeat business.
• Diving experience is useful, but not essential
- as we can teach you
• Excellent communication skills both written
and verbal
• Proven sales skills and effective conversion
of sales leads
• The ability to achieve and exceed challenging
sales targets
• Enjoy working within a small friendly
team environment
• A passion for selling holidays and dealing
with customers holiday requirements
The Role of Travel Consultant
There will be opportunities to broaden your
experience including marketing, PR and destination
product management, but your main responsibilities
are:
• Selling tailor-made holidays which include
flights, hotels, excursions, transfers etc
• Providing first class customer service in
responding to email and telephone enquires with
the emphasis of converting the queries into bookings
• Dealing with enquiries from the first
phone call up until the clients leave the UK
Remuneration Package
• Basic salary of up to £16k
with excellent OTE
• Travel concessions and foreign travel
• The opportunity to learn to dive if you
don’t already
