Let us arrange your first steps to the underwater
world. You can begin to discover marine life from
the age of 5yrs!
The most popular and widely recognised certification
for scuba diving is that taken through PADI (Professional
Association or Diving Instructors). For further
information please look at their website -
www.padi.com.
The British Sub Aqua Club is also a well recognised
throughout the world. For further information
please look at their website - www.bsac.org.
To begin your underwater adventure we recommend
you contact your nearest dive club to arrange
a "try dive". This will give you the opportunity
to experience using the scuba equipment in the
safe confines of a swimming pool. Diving is an
exciting but demanding activity which also has
strict safety procedures which should be adhered
to at all times.
Following on from this you should complete the
PADI Open Water Course, which, once certified,
will allow you the freedom to dive with a buddy
and discover the underwater world. The Junior
Open Water Course is available for those aged
10-14yrs.
The Open Water Course can be fully completed
on holiday (approx 4 days). This includes classroom
work as well as practical skills in the pool and
your certification dives in the "open water" (ocean).
However, there is also the option to do the classroom
and pool part in the UK and complete the course
while on holiday. This is known as a "Referral
Course". Once certified, you can continue to dive
during your holiday by booking locally.
Please call us for further information
and we are more than happy to discuss these
options further for all the family to begin
diving!
