As pure as it gets
Seychelles are pure delight. This extraordinary archipelago of 115 unspoilt granite and coral islands, unique flora and fauna, palm-fringed, iridescent beaches, lapped by the warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, is understandably high on the wish list of most discerning travellers.
Seychelles is blessed with some of the world’s most pristine and uncrowded beaches. Here, the bluest waters invite you to go sailing, windsurfing and naturally, diving. The islands’ local Creole culture and colonial heritage is proudly evident in its fine national monuments, beautiful houses, artists’ studios and unforgettable cuisine. Follow breathtaking mountain nature trails; why not enjoy frangipani, hibiscus and some of the earth’s rarest species of flora and fauna. Why not island-hop to Praslin, the second largest island and discover the legendary Coco-de-Mer, in the Vallée de Mai, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Pure magic.
The Underwater Experience
Seychelles’ marine life flourishes with everything from nudibranch to whale sharks. The shallow waters of Praslin and Mahe suit all divers – swim with angel fish, surgeon and parrot fish, rays, sharks, turtles, lobster and octopus. The inner, granite islands provide a great diversity with pure coral reefs, rocky walls, gullies and wrecks, plus the ubiquitous soldierfish, Napoleon wrasse and giant grouper.
