THE TRUE STORY – WEATHER IN BARBADOS IN SEPTEMBER / OCTOBER IS BALMY!
Many people ask me as a Caribbean specialist what the weather in Barbados in September / October is like. I say it is balmy!
The average temperatures one can expect are from 75-85 degrees, and if there are rain showers one can expect them more in the pre-dawn hours.
The island of Barbados is truly unique in its location, tucked away in the most easterly area of the Caribbean, to the south and East of the hurricane track. It has one of the lowest incidences of hurricanes in the Caribbean.
On average, Miami experiences five times as many hurricanes as Barbados! Interestingly enough, Barbados experiences fewer hurricanes than Providence Rhode Island as well.
So I say to all my clients don’t let hurricane worries put you off planning a visit from July to October. During August the island experiences one of it’s busiest months as people travel to partake in the annual ‘crop over’ festival.
So come over and enjoy the beauty of Barbados during these months.
