The Tour (16 Days)
Day 1: Saigon
Upon arrival, you’ll be met by our representative and transfer to your hotel. The New World Hotel is ideally located in central Saigon. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and acclimatising to Saigon life.
Day 2: Saigon
Day at leisure. Choose to relax at your luxury hotel or maybe explore nearby historic Ban Thanh Market and downtown Saigon.
Day 3: Jayavarman Cruise
After breakfast, join the luxury cruiser, RV Jayavarman at My Tho for your 7-night cruise of the Mekong River. This beautifully crafted vessel combines French colonial style with Far East elegance and has 27 individually designed suites, all with panoramic doors opening onto private balconies to make the most of river views. Enjoy a cocktail reception followed by dinner on the sundeck. There’s also an on board Spa and sundeck with jacuzzi.
Day 4: Cai Be – Chau Doc
Maybe start the morning with a gentle session of Tai Chi or just watch the sun come up at breakfast as you set sail for Cai Be and take a tour of the bustling, colourful floating market by traditional sampan. Savour the views of traditional village life along the Delta and after lunch, tour Binh Thanh Island with its network of canals. Relax over dinner as you make for overnight mooring near Chau Doc.
Day 5: Chau Doc
After breakfast, visit Chau Doc town near the Cambodian border with its temple and markets and take a boat excursion to the authentic floating villages and fish farms. Mid-afternoon arrive in Cambodia’s capital, Phnom Penh. Overnight mooring near Phnom Penh.
Day 6: Phnom Penh
After breakfast, spend the morning touring the charming capital city’s sights including the stunning Silver Pagoda and Royal Palace. After lunch at a local restaurant, tour the National Museums and learn about Cambodia’s history including the infamous Killing Fields. In the evening, a programme of entertainment includes traditional Apsara dance and a barbecue on the spacious sundeck.
Day 7: Phnom Penh – Kampong Cham
After breakfast and departing Phnom Penh, there’s chance to visit traditional crafts along the river, including silk weaving and an opportunity to meet locals at a rustic Cham village for lunch. Relax over dinner as you cruise towards Kampong Cham overnight.
Day 8: Kampong Cham – Wat Hanchey
A land visit to the pre-Angkorian temple of Wat Hanchey offers breathtaking views of Cambodia’s countryside. There’s also chance to enjoy a swim in the River & a tour of Wat Nokor temple ruins.
Day 9: Tonle Sap
Gliding through the jungle, arrive at Kampong Chhnang & visit local Khmer pottery before an exciting motorboat trip to the wetlands. Enjoy lunch as you navigate the narrow channels of Tonle River & relax onboard.
Day 10: Tonle Sap – Siem Reap
Admire views of Tonle Sap, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia with its abundant birdlife and stunning scenery as you head for the final destination, Siem Reap. Day 11-12: Siem Reap - Sihanoukville (flight journey: 1h)
During your stay you can explore the magnificent temples and UNESCO World Heritage Sites at Angkor Thom and the temple complex of Siem Reap. Depart for your short internal flight to Sihanoukville & 4-night beach break at Sokha Beach. Overnight stay at exclusive Sokha Beach hotel.
Day 13 – 15: Sokha Beach
Enjoy the beautiful beaches of Sihanoukville and arguably the best beach in southern Cambodia at Sokha Beach.
